About us

About us The history of the Paulista Chamber Orchestra starts in 1995, when maestro Branco Bernardes organizes the Strings Orchestra of the Free University of Music of the São Paulo State Secretary of Culture. The requirements of artistic expansion had propitiated the inclusion of woodwinds and brass instruments in 1998. After that, the group leaves the Free University of Music and changes its name to Paulista Chamber Orchestra. Its repertoire looks for to bring to greater audiences less known Brazilian composers. In its years of existence, the Paulista Chamber Orchestra presented itself in theaters, cultural centers and alternative spaces.
